Today’s write up is majorly directed at women. This is because the way to a man’s heart, they say, is through his stomach.

Can you imagine that something as simple as the food that the man is deprived of eating at home, can push him into the waiting hands and cooking pots of a “husband snatching Jezebel!” It is true. We have seen such cases before.

We always remember Jezebel for her wickedness. But there are lessons to learn from her when it comes to taking care of your man.  Let’s check that bit out:

“And Ahab came into his house heavy and displeased because of the word which Naboth the Jezreelite had spoken to him: for he had said, I will not give thee the inheritance of my fathers. And he laid him down upon his bed, and turned away his face, and would eat no bread.” But Jezebel his wife came to him, and said unto him, Why is thy spirit so sad, that thou eatest no bread?

                                                                       1 Kings 21:4-5 KJV

When Jezebel saw her husband, the first thing that drew her attention was his failure to eat food. For her, that was a danger sign and it made her observe his countenance as being sad; she being a master in the art of keeping a husband and known to have no record of her husband Ahab having any other wife or concubine. She knew that she could not afford to joke with her husband’s failure to eat her food. I believe that she calculated that if he had started eating another woman’s food, then he would soon start indulging in other things with that woman, and she would lose him soon.

This is the point: It is important that you make effort to feed your man well. Serve it to him in beautiful dishes, sit with him as he eats and engage in pleasant conversations and not requests for money or complaints about his relations or irritating topics. Serve him water to wash his hands on your knees. Make his meal times special.

 N.B:

If you cannot cook, please learn how to. Get someone to teach you or download recipes from the internet, practice them and keep trying till you become very good.

Many times, some men do not provide their wives with enough money to make very sumptuous meals for the family. In such a case, try as much as you can to make the meal sumptuous. There is nothing wrong with adding your own money when you go shopping, to ensure that you get your man running home for your meals.
